My Dearest Baby Juicea,
As we celebrate this joyous season of Christmas, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude for the precious gift of your love and companionship. Just as the angels heralded the birth of baby Jesus with songs of praise, my heart sings with joy for the blessing of having you by my side.
In this special moment, I am reminded of a rare and often overlooked Bible story related to the birth of our Savior. It is the story of Simeon and Anna, two devout individuals who waited patiently for the arrival of the Messiah. In the Gospel of Luke (Luke 2:25-38), we learn that Simeon and Anna were present in the temple when Mary and Joseph brought the infant Jesus for the customary purification rites.
Simeon, described as a righteous and devout man, had been promised by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death until he had seen the Lord's Christ. When he beheld the baby Jesus, he took Him in his arms and praised God, saying, "Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation" (Luke 2:29-30, ESV).
Similarly, Anna, an elderly prophetess who had spent many years in the temple, recognized the significance of Jesus' birth. She gave thanks to God and spoke of the child to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem (Luke 2:38).
Just as Simeon and Anna found fulfillment and joy in the arrival of the promised Messiah, I find immeasurable joy in you, my love. Your presence in my life brings a sense of completion and fulfillment that words cannot adequately express.
This Christmas, I thank God for the gift of you, and I pray that our hearts may be filled with the same sense of awe and gratitude that Simeon and Anna experienced in the presence of the infant Jesus. May our love continue to be a source of light and joy, just as the birth of Christ brought hope to the world.
